Like you said, you don't know him and don't want to...so don't pass judgment on him. He had em cuz he has a right to have em...even a judge said so at some point in time...nuff said. IMO the only folks ya need to watch out for at UVAW is the siver spoon bunch that think they run the place...lol

Taking the story out of the picture, does the school not have the right to remove this guy for violation of school policy? I know of students who have been removed for theft, marijuana, and other offenses much less severe than that of possessing guns. If you all are so dead set on letting him back in school you guys should go to class with him (him with weapons nearby) see if you feel real safe without some type of weapon. Might have a different feeling on the matter. </div></div>

The problem here though is that the school is not expelling him just for the guns. If that was the case it would be a non issue. UVA-Wise is the one who sent him for a psych eval due to his writings, not his guns.

I think a better question is why does Campus Rules regarding concealed weapons oppose & supercede the Commonwealth Laws regarding concealed weapons when UVA-Wise receives state funding. Since when did The University of Virginia's College at Wise become a sovereign state?

As for him coming back to school w/guns in his car, he could just as easily be at Wal Mart at the same time as you are w/guns in his car nearby. And it's all legal according to state law.

Here's somethin I want to know. What is the difference in writing about a deranged drug addict fantasizing about killin his professor, and a student writing a story about a woman who actually kills her BF and describes it in graphic detail. The story is what set off the search...did they search the other student's belongings and vehicle? Seems like a double standard if ya ask me. Maybe next year they can rename creative writing "Non violent politically correct writing that must not cause a stir cuz if it does you'll be blacklisted like McCarthyism did in the 50's 310"...lol....now that would be a hoot. A class filled with tree huggers and others of thier ilk that are afraid of their own shadow to the point they are ready to give up the civil liberties of the civilians of this country. Right that thousands upon thousands have died to preserve for them...how nice.
